My visit to Ireland during the weekend has turned upside down my predictions for tonight's Golden Globes.
After watching The King's Speech at Dublin's terrific Lighthouse cinema I have serious doubts about the frontrunner status of The Social Network in the Best Picture category. Right now, I believe both films have a 50-50 chance of getting the big trophy, but I have the feeling that the HFPA might go for a compromise choice and give top honours to The King's Speech and recognise David Fincher's work in The Social Network by presenting him with the Best Director award.
